Note: Remedial Massage is a non-sexual massage to relieve muscular aches and pains. If you are after relaxation or sensual massage, you can find them in the nav menu up top.
A passion for muscles and anatomy
As an active cyclist and advocate for healthy living, I'm passionate about understanding human biology, particularly musculoskeletal anatomy, the study of how muscles, bones and nerves interact.

I love helping people to heal, to feel better, to share energy, and knowing I'm making a real difference in their lives.

What are your massage qualifications?

I have two diplomas from the Australian Institute of Applied Sciences, one in Remedial Massage, the other in Oriental Therapies.
I graduated in December 2002 at the top of my class and was subsequently awarded AAMT's Queensland Massage Therapist of the Year.
My specialities are Remedial Massage, Chinese Acupressure, Tui Na, Zen Shiatsu, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
In the years since graduating, I have also completed studies in the related fields of fitness, sexual health, counselling, and sports nutrition.
I have loose skin. Can remedial massage help tighten it?

To an extent, yes, but don't have unrealistic expectations.
Loose skin is caused by extremely fast weight loss. It might have happened naturally or with medical assistance, but basically, the elastin in your skin was unable to respond at the same pace.
If you lose weight at a natural healthy pace, combined with exercise to ensure good blood and nutrient flow throughout your body, your skin's elastin is able to respond much better.
Massage can help break down the bonds in your connective tissue and skin to help soften the overall appearance.
A good option is to combine massage with Ultrasonic Fat Cavitation or RF Skin Tightening, both of which use soundwaves to promote smoother skin appearance.
Can I get completely naked?
Yes, unless you have an STI. Whether it's active or not, I need to know.
In Queensland, it is illegal to lie about your STI status to a provider of personal services.

Are you comfortable with trans people?
I do need to know what meds you're on or surgeries you've undertaken so I can make sure the massage won't interfere with your treatment.
Aside from that, totally cool.
Feel free to disclose any physical insecurities you might have before I see you naked, whatever makes you more comfortable.
Can I book a remedial massage straight after waxing?
Yes, that's no problem. On recently waxed areas, I generally massage with after-wax lotion instead of oil. Here are the relevant pages if you want to learn more.
Will you perform massage if I have HIV?
Yes. As with all viruses where there is any risk of contagion, simply inform me during your pre-treatment consultation.
Will you perform massage if I have cancer?
No. There is an unacceptably high risk of spreading cancer to other parts of the body due to elevated movement of toxins and lymphatic fluid during a massage treatment.

I have a sports event. When should I massage?
Before a big sporting event, athletes want their muscles in peak condition and train hard in lead-up to the race.
Muscle recovery and stretching usually form part of that training.
The big key is to plan ahead. If you have a sporting event on the weekend, you don't want your muscles to be recovering from a hard deep-tissue massage just as you need them to perform.
Have a strong massage on the Monday then allow a few days for your muscles to recover.
Low intensity training, combined with increased water intake, is a good way to help them clean out dead tissue released by the massage.

Then midweek, have a very light massage. This way, your muscles will be in premium condition for the weekend's big event.
Can you help with Osgood-Schlatter Disease?
For most boys, Osgood-Schlatter's Disease resolves itself after puberty and the bones have reached their adult length.
For younger boys on the threshold of puberty, say 9 to 12 years old, the condition can be painful and limit their ability to flex and extend their knee.

While remedial massage won't 'cure' the problem, massaging and stretching the upper and lower leg muscles will keep them limber and help the patella to track better, thus relieving discomfort while nature does it's thing.
Can I get a happy ending after my Remedial Massage?
No. If you want an intimate service, you'll find the Podium Massage or Cabana Massage more suited to your needs.
I'm scheduled for ultrasound lavage of the shoulder but need pain relief now.
I can definitely help. Ultrasound-guided lavage of the shoulder is performed to removed calcified deposits inside the shoulder capsule, or rotator cuff.
From personal experience, the pain can be quite unbearable.
Remedial Massage is ideal to alleviate the pain, and will also help clear the deposits before your procedure.
In fact, if you jump onto treating the condition soon enough, you might not even need the ultrasound treatment.
