What results can I expect from this treatment?
You will notice a general smoothing or softening of the treated area afterwards. If you follow my post-treatment advice regarding food intake and exercise, results will become even more apparent over the coming week. Follow-up treatments will yield similar results.
Should I get Fat Cavitation or Skin Tightening?
RF Skin Tightening and 40K Fat Cavitation both use sound waves, however RF primarily targets skin while cavitation targets fat.
If you want to tighten your skin over an area where you also want fat reduction, it makes sense to have fat cavitation first, and do skin tightening last.
How does 40K Fat Cavitation work?
Soundwaves break down the bonds that form between fat cells. The resulting waste is expelled from the body through your lymph and urine. Some also converts to energy (ATP).
What will I experience during the treatment?
During treatment, you will experience varying degrees of high pitched sound, as ultrasound waves pass through your body and bounce harmlessly off bone and cartillage. This sound is only audible to you, not to the therapist.
You may also feel warmth in the treated areas, but nothing excessive.
What might prevent me having a 40K Fat Cavitation treatment?
The following contraindications will prevent treatment:
- Metal implants, e.g. bone pins, rods, or screws.
- Electronic implants, e.g. pace makers.
- Any form or cancer.
- Cold or flu symptoms.
- Swollen lymph nodes.
- Oedema of the lower legs.
- Active Infections.
- Any auto-immune disease.
- Liver, Kidney, or Heart Disease.
- Severe hypertension whether medicated or not.
- Hyperlipidaemia
- Diabetes mellitus.
- Lymph nodes and joints cannot be treated.
- Inflamed skin cannot be treated.
- Allergic to alcohol on skin.
What after-care will ensure the best results?
I mentioned earlier that waste product from the treatment is processed through your lymph and urine, and some also converts to energy.
To help these natural processes, I'll recommend that you drink more water and aim for a caloric deficit over the days that follow. That means eat less food, particularly sweets, starches, and alcohol.
I'll also recommend that you do at least 45 minutes of moderate-paced walking or cycling within 12 hours of your treatment.
How often can I come for a Fat Cavitation treatment?
Allow 72 hours for waste from the treatment to be fully expelled from your body.
What are the side effects of 40K Fat Cavitation?
You may notice a residual buzzing or ringing sound in your ears for up to 24 hours, but that's rare. Skin trauma is also uncommon, but the treated area may retain warmth for a few hours afterwards. Aside from that, you can go about your normal activities straight away.
I over-eat and don't exercise. Will this fix me?
40K Fat Cavitation is designed for people with at least a fair diet and regular exercise. If your caloric intake continues to exceed your daily expenditure, any apparent losses will be short-lived.
