The "Awaken" slideshow contains 18 photos of a man bathing in an infinity pool at daybreak, somewhere in the South Pacific. I created the series while searching for the ideal feature image for the main page of this website.
I wanted a single main character, at leisure but in quiet reflection, undistracted by other people or outside influences. It is simply a man at peace with himself and in thought.
Throughout the photos, he varies in age from 20 to 50 years old. He could be anyone, indicating the diversity of men, their backgrounds and personalities, and the driving factors that bring them to my door.
The breaking dawn is symbolic of hope and reinvention, while the infinity pool merging with the ocean, represents our ability to imagine without limitations.
