The "Backyard Barbecue" video features a slideshow of 18 photos, of a handsome and muscled father grilling meat on a barbecue in the backyard. I made the series to promote SMP, one of the body treatments I provide.
My goal here was to create a feelgood photo that encapsulated the suburban dream, and the idea came to me that in Australia at least, happiness in the burbs is best expressed in the backyard barbecue.
The featured model varies in each photo, ranging in age from 25 to 55. Secondary characters also vary, including male and female companions, children, and dogs.
I'm quite pleased with how the imagery turned out, and the emotions it evokes. I especially like how the father - perhaps a little unrealistically - is a caring beef-cake who finds plenty of time to work out, instead of surrendering to the stereotype dad-bod. 🙂
