"Blue Camo Beach" consists of 18 photos that survived from the initial 85. They are the result of me needing an original stock photo of a self-conscious youth in togs at the beach, for this article:
My initial brief was "Create a shirtless athletic smooth-faced 17 yo youth. He wears camo blue bikini briefs and sunglasses. He lies on a white towel on a tropical South Pacific beach. There is a water bottle and sunscreen beside him on the towel. It is a sunny afternoon with blue sky and light wispy clouds in the distance. In the background are palm trees, and people playing in the water."
After ten hours of tweaking, reinventing and deleting, I chose a winner. Here are the other 17 very worthy photos that came close, but didn't quite make it.
